Libroqueue 2022.02...
WOW! I had a pretty amazing January in terms of reading. And, while I know some people don't tend to look so kindly on graphic novels when it comes to reading goals, I don't care. I won't count individual issues, but I will count graphic novels and collected editions, as most of you know. And, yes, that did boost my count a little. But, again, I don't care.
Here’s what I planned to read in January:
- R.L. Stine's Young Scrooge: A Very Scary Christmas Story
- Michelle Zauner's Crying in H Mart
- Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire
- Kelly Thompson’s Hawkeye: Kate Bishop, vols. 2 & 3
- Stephon Stewart’s Dry
Here’s what I finished…
- R.L. Stine's Young Scrooge: A Very Scary Christmas Story
- Michelle Zauner's Crying in H Mart
- Colin Jost's A Very Punchable Face
- Kelly Thompson’s Hawkeye: Kate Bishop, vols. 2 & 3
- Scott Snyder's Batman: Last Knight on Earth, vols. 1, 2, 3
- Michael Walsh's The Silver Coin, vol. 1
- Stephon Stewart’s Dry
The only fail on the list was not finishing Interview with the Vampire. I'm about 30% of the way through it and, honestly, I'm struggling. Plus, I joined a book club at work and that's going to take up some of my reading time. And I've picked up a bunch of other books that I'd really rather not backburner for too long because they are really intriguing to me. So, I'm not sure I'll get through this Anne Rice stretch goal. I may just aim for a handful of them. At best. But it's not for lack of reading overall, so far.
For February, I will read/finish:
Ben Mezrich's The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal…
Brené Brown's Atlas of the Heart (the book club read)...
(30% of the way through) Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire…
(20% of the way through) Mariko Tamaki's Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass...
Sarah J. Maas' Catwoman: Soulstealer...
John Layman's Chu, vol. 1...
Not a bad set of reading goals.
I always struggle with reading more than one thing at a time. In most other areas of my life, I'm a bit scattered, and can move from one thing to another easily, but I just can't read multiple things at the same time.

I prefer not to. But sometimes I can’t help it. And if I mix one physical/ebook with a graphic novel and audiobook, that’s generally not so bad. But if I have multiple physical/ebooks going, that’s when I get stuck.
