I finished my third book of February earlier tonight, marking my 13th of 2022 out of my 48-book goal.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not foolish enough to think this reading rate will continue for the entirety of the year. But I wouldn’t mind it one bit if it did.

But it did make me want to review my past several years of reading goals; at least since I started participating in them via Goodreads.

For the last four years, I’ve been consistently hitting the 55-60 book range, blowing away my reading goal, particularly in 2018.

The last time I increased my book goal was in 2019 in response to that blowout year at which time I doubled it. I’m starting to wonder if I should do it again. Not double! Dear god no. Just take on a few more to make it a true challenge to which I can strive.
