Dear Illinois,
I’ll never understand what you did to piss Mother Nature off so much that she just can’t decide what should be going on here weather-wise.
I’m not sure if these viewing stats from Netflix regarding Nathan’s preferred video themes say more about him as a kid or about me and my parenting of him.
Child art is always interesting, isn’t it? Just a total crapshoot as to what you’ll get vs what it’s supposed to be.

I noticed only tonight that Stef popped in there with a partial guess of “Spider-Man 7.” While definitely not the full title, or even the right film number, it was the closest legit guess so it wins.

One of the things I’m tasked with checking on websites is the user experience (UX). Think of it as asking “Would the user enjoy or find this website easy to use?” If yes, great. If no, can I think of something that might make it better?
Perspective is a funny thing sometimes. Funny in how it can be used to make a point. Funny how aspects can be left out to make a different point.
I’ve now watched Ted Lasso enough that I want, nay, demand that all American sports suffer relegation and work to earn promotion to elite status. No more of it just being about championships, I want them to have to work to earn and maintain their spot in leagues and, consequently, give lesser teams a chance at bigger paychecks when they have played harder. College athletics, too. Earn those conference placements.

Here’s a question for ya… if you could only watch the acting gigs of one actor for the rest of time, who would it be?

Light ‘em if you got ‘em!
Most things that happen in life supposedly serve some greater purpose whether we realize it or not. Given that, what "greater purpose" is assisted by the existence of seasonal allergies? Tell me! Now! What purpose is served by making us all inflamed and sneezy and runny and drippy and miserable and hate filled?

My buddy Steve dug deep — like hand-into-your-chest-and-removing-your-heart deep — to get last week’s challenge photo.

It would seem that Nathan is going to have a dual visit tonight from the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
I’m just curious what kind of person it takes to think, “Hey! My jacket is kinda flat. I’m gonna throw a few tennis balls in the dryer with it and hope for the best!”
Something happened to me today that has never happened in my 22 years as a working professional… I got a promotion!

One of Nathan’s favorite book series of the last few years has been Aaron Blabey’s Bad Guys books. There have been 14 books that we’ve read multiple times. Me to him and him to me.
Last night, I finished the first volume of James Tynion IV’s graphic novel Something is Killing the Children.
I love Pete Davidson. No, not in the way Kim Kardashian loves Pete Davidson. I just think he’s a funny dude and I’m so glad he got his life straight so the world could see how funny he is.
I really need to break out my old Sony Alpha D-SLR and try out some of these tricks. This guy (CrimsonViper1138) has some really simple ideas that look fantastic.
