Libroqueue 2022.06...
For the first time in like ever, I read far more books than graphic novels. It felt good but I hate that I didn’t get to two of the books on my May list.
Here’s what I planned to read in May:
- Trevor Noah’s Born a Crime
- James Clear’s Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
- Clay McLeod Chapman’s Whisper Down the Lane
- Melanie Gillman’s As the Crow Flies
- Ted Fox’s Showtime at the Apollo: The Epic Tale of Harlem’s Legendary Theater
- Clayton Junior’s Wild Thing or My Life as a Wolf
- Scott Snyder’s A.D. After Death
Here’s what I finished…
- Trevor Noah’s Born a Crime
- James Clear’s Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
- Clay McLeod Chapman’s Whisper Down the Lane
- Max Allan Collins' Eliot Ness and the Mad Butcher: Hunting America's Deadliest Unidentified Serial Killer at the Dawn of Modern Criminology
- Matt Richards and Mark Langthorne’s Somebody to Love: The Life, Death and Legacy of Freddie Mercury
- Melanie Gillman’s As the Crow Flies
- Clayton Junior’s Wild Thing or My Life as a Wolf
I came up real short on the graphic novel front having barely cracked A.D. After Death and not even touching Showtime at the Apollo. So those are making a repeat appearance in June’s list. But I made up for it with other books. Seven chosen, seven read.
For June, I will read/finish:
Val Kilmer’s I’m Your Huckleberry: A Memoir
Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead (unless the selection from my book club at work is changed)
Gary Paulsen’s Northwind
Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing (if the library gets it in time)
Ted Fox’s Showtime at the Apollo: The Epic Tale of Harlem’s Legendary Theater
Scott Snyder’s A.D. After Death
Let’s get these done!
