Hey, I mostly finished my reading goal this month! Not in names, but numbers. That still counts!

Can a 47-year-old, overweight, bald, brutally-uncool, dad-joke-telling man get away with wearing this shirt in public even if he is a staunch supporter of the band?

My son looked at me earlier today and said, "Dad, you're not swearing as much lately as you used to."

I’ve been waiting for months to finally use the cool crane arm monitor mount Katie bought me. But I haven’t been able to because stupid Samsung didn’t have VESA mounting available on my old secondary monitor.

I'm just gonna say it, slam me if you will, but digital assistants bug me. I know I tried to get into it for the purpose of home automation a few years ago. But when that bombed out, I became nothing but skeptical of them and their "abilities."

Sadly, no one got this past week’s challenge photo. It wasn’t that tough, I didn’t think.

I’m so proud of Katie and Nathan. As of tonight, we are through with Stranger Things 2 and it only took about nine days.

On recommendation from my buddy Abe, I watched Pig, a movie starring Nic Cage as an Oregonian truffle hunter who seeks his prized pig after she’s kidnapped.

Nathan wanted to have a sleepover with Katie to celebrate the end of his first week of fourth grade. So I’m in our bedroom by myself unsure what to do.

Has anyone else gotten to a point with these themed entertainment universes where they're starting to not care anymore? By "themed entertainment universes" I mean things like the Star Wars Saga or the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) or the Jurassic Park Universe (JPU) or the DC Entertainment Universe (DCEU)?

Today, we got a piece of spam mailed to us from the Institute for Brain Potential in "Los Banos, CA." 

I have become absolutely obsessed with watching this meteoric rise of newcomer songstress Kate Bush and her newly released track “Running Up That Hill.”

If there is any one thing in this world more needlessly complicated than a digital alarm clock, I defy you to name it.

Something unexpected happened today. Totally, completely, out-of-left-field, bonzo nuts… my wife and son decided to start watching Stranger Things with me.

Man, I really wasn’t sure this week was going to end. It was a weird, wild, prolonged, disjointed, unpredictable week. And it’s finally over.

I need a pool day tomorrow. 

It would appear that I’ve become the “man in the yellow hat.”

Look at that! I’m back! I’m actually back! And on time! Yay me!

Did I mention that yesterday at C2E2, I met Michael Rooker, the actor from The Guardians of the Galaxy, The Walking Dead, The Belko Experiment, Cliffhanger, and Mallrats, among sooo much more.

Yup, we finished the costume. He looked great. And he and I had fun. Tons of it.

I have always feared conventions and festivals. I don’t like crowds. I hate them, in fact. So, other than the Pitchfork Music Festival, I avoid them.

Well, I guess I now know what caused the slow leak we had under our kitchen sink...

Why is that as the amount of entertainment offerings expands, I tend to shrink back into my same-old/same-old?

Just a short post today. I’m still trying to get back into the swing of blogging. Baby steps. So why not share some trailers I’ve seen recently that intrigued me.
