Libroqueue 2023.01…
I just typed “2023” in the title of a post. Weren’t we supposed to have jet packs and flying cars by now? Oh vey.
Here’s what I planned to read in December:
- Ben Aaronovitch's Midnight Riot
- Dr. Lee Mellor’s Behind the Horror: True Stories that Inspired Horror Movies
- Priya Parker's The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why it Matters
- Jay Anson’s The Amityville Horror
- Brian Michael Bendis’ Fire: A Spy Graphic Novel
Here’s what I actually read…
- Dr. Lee Mellor’s Behind the Horror: True Stories that Inspired Horror Movies
- Jay Anson’s The Amityville Horror
- Brian Michael Bendis’ Fire: A Spy Graphic Novel
- Danielle Valentine’s How to Survive Your Murder
- Chris Sims’ Infinity Wars: Sleepwalker
I read 3 of the 5 I planned. I’m about halfway thru Midnight but haven’t started Gathering because our book club delayed things due to the holidays. But I added Murder and Sleepwalker bringing me to 70 of 48 on my annual goal. Stretch goal achieved!
For January, I will read/finish:
Ben Aaronovitch's Midnight Riot
Priya Parker's The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters for the work book club
Tom Felton’s Beyond the Wand: The Magic & Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard
Harlan Coben’s The Boy from the Woods
I guess if I’m gonna hit a 60-book goal in 2023, I have to read at least five books each month. No room for slacking, eh?
Happy New Year, y’all!
Read Coban's The Woods. It's a continuation of The Boy From the Woods. How was Mellor's book?

Mellor was very well researched. Great book especially if you don’t know the story behind a lot of these.
