It was an unintentional pairing featuring Jar Jar Binks and Gwen Stacy/Ghost Spider that happened when I was putting her figure away after taking a different shot and she landed in a case on top of him almost exactly like this (save her hand on his cheek).

I titled it “Beuaty and the Gungan” for a couple of reasons:

1. It reminded me of an old promo still I swear I saw of the 1987 Beauty and the Beast TV series starring Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.
2. I used Gungan instead of Beast because there is a nearly 25-year history of fan hate heaped on Jar Jar and actor Ahmed Best for this portrayal in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. It got to the point where Best was suicidal and needed professional help to get through it. “Beast” has too many negative connotations. I’ve actually come to like JJB in recent years and this being one of my favorite action figures ever doesn’t hurt. So “Gungan” it is.
