Libroqueue 2023.06...
Unlike in April, where I made a late surge in reading, I read five books in the first half of May and then hit a lull when we went on vacation. Here's the recap...
Here’s what I planned to read in May:
- Cliff Chiang’s Catwoman: Lonely City, issues 1-4
- Jeff Lemire’s Swamp Thing: Green Hell, issues 1-3
- Regine M. Gilbert’s Inclusive Design for a Digital World: Designing with Accessibility in Mind
- Silvia Moreno Garcia’s The Daughter of Doctor Moreau
- Ben Rock & Bob Derosa’s Catchers
Here’s what I actually read…
- Silvia Moreno Garcia’s The Daughter of Doctor Moreau
- Ben Rock & Bob Derosa’s Catchers
- Marcie R. Rendon's Murder on the Red River
- Marcie R. Rendon's Girl Gone Missing
- Jeff Lemire's Snow Angels: A Short Story
- Lonnie Nadler's Yondu: My Two Yondus
- Jed MacKay's Black Cat, vol. 6: Infinity Score
My graphic novel reading is off because I started late to it as I picked up a couple other graphic novels from the library and needed to read those before they were due back. So I added Yondu and Black Cat and, as a result, only made it 3/4 of the way through Catwoman and never started Swamp Thing. But I'll keep those on in June. Catwoman is pretty incredible (I love Cliff Chiang!) and I suspect Swamp Thing will be similarly cool. As for Inclusive Design, I'm about 2/3 of the way through it. I started late to that one, as well, and didn't read nearly as much as I expected to on vacation. But… I had a goal of five and read seven.
For June, I will read/finish:
Cliff Chiang’s Catwoman: Lonely City, issues 1-4…
Jeff Lemire’s Swamp Thing: Green Hell, issues 1-3…
Regine M. Gilbert’s Inclusive Design for a Digital World: Designing with Accessibility in Mind…
Jade Song’s Chlorine…
Nick Medina’s Sisters of the Lost Nation…
Could be interesting.
