Okay, so we were a few days late to the game with going to see the holiday lights at Brookfield Zoo this year. But we went and we clearly were not the only ones going after Christmas was over. It was jammed!
That’s puzzle number three done.
…Dungeons… and more dungeons!!
Tonight, Nathan and I joined my brother, his elder daughter (a year older than Nate) and two of my brother’s old friends for a quick Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

After more than a quarter of a decade, the ginormous two-floor Barnes & Noble at the corner of Washington St. and Chicago Ave. is closing down. Well, it's not fully closing down. It's moving one town over to Oswego into a storefront abandoned by a DSW.

Tonight we introduced Nate to Back to the Future. To this point, we’d hesitated to do it because of some of the racism and sexual assault in it. Questions we didn’t want to deal with yet.
I was going to write up one of my K7 awards posts tonight but… nah. I think I’ve almost got the lists compiled. I think I feel good about them. I think… I’ll write them later.
We’ve almost always put up at least a decorated tree every Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving, we break out the fake one and all the ornaments and set it up.

Of course I say all that yesterday about a lack of cards and, today, we receive about eight more.
We have a clothespin wreath we hang on the back of our front door during the holidays that is used to display all the holiday cards we get. I think my mom made it.
Oh man, did my fantasy football team suck rocks this weekend. After spending nearly the entire season in first place, I crash and burn in spectacular fashion in the first week of the playoffs.

Six and a half months and counting and… still no soda!
The irony is not lost on me that I received an email from Goodreads with this declaration in it just as I’m contemplating a blog post about how my desire to read this month has been nil.
I have broken a personal best with a 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube!
I was playing around with the LensFX app trying to create a “working” head lamp on my Harlego-Davidson Fat Boy. I like how it turned out.
For a handful of years, Saturday Night Live was on fire. They were a unyielding joke blitz firing on all cylinders.
Gee, American Express, thanks for taking the time to make sure your mail merge used the correct fields from your data dump before sending me this credit card application that would provide me with a card that probably shouldn’t be legally useable anywhere but would never get questioned these days because people are too lazy.
This year, I was introduced to Whamageddon. It’s apparently a thing where you and others try to go as long as you can, starting December 1, without hearing the original version of Wham’s “Last Christmas.”

Let’s face it, recidivism is alive and well in this world. Prison is not a deterrent to crime as much as it should be.
This one is gonna be fun!
I’m going Ron Guidry today.
Let’s see what Artie the Shelf Elf has been up to since his arrival on Friday…

We finally cleared away enough stuff that we have begun using our kitchen table for puzzles again! Huzzah!
You ever have this happen to you?
Hello November; good-bye November. Just like that. Gone in the wink of an eye this whole past month. And how did I do in goals? Let’s see…
