Disparity…

Not that this is anything new, but, once in a while you’re reminded how messed up this world truly is.

Victor Wembanyama, the #1 pick in the 2024 National Basketball Association (NBA) draft signed a four-year contract worth $55 million.

Caitlin Clark, the #1 pick in the 2024 Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft, signed a four-year contract worth $338,056… total. Not each year, TOTAL.

What kind of bullshit is that?

While the gender disparity truly is the crux of my concern here, I’m also pissed about the overall overpaying of athletes and musicians and actors and anybody with any sort of “celebrity” that occurs in this day and age.

Our priorities are all kinds of messed up.

I TOTALLY agree with your thoughts on this subject, Kevin It is ridiculous and just goes to show where our priorities are. Gone is the love of the game for the love of the buck. What is wrong with us?

kapgar

It’s stupid.

That's an insane amount of money to pay someone coming out of college. To be honest I didn't realize that's how much NBA players made in general, that's eye opening. And truly truly fucked up that there's the salary discrepancy in 2024.

kapgar

It’s complete lunacy.
