Katie and I did something we never expected we would do… ever. We watched a pro sports draft event. Not just that, we watched it live. And it was for women’s basketball.

That’s right, we watched the WNBA Draft. Willingly. And we liked it.

What was even weirder was that I recognized the names of these women. Well, the ones that came from the NCAA anyway. Lots of additional draftees came from Australian, French, Belgian, Spanish, and Italian professional leagues. Those players I didn’t know at all.

In the end, though, the Chicago Sky fared very well with the third and seventh picks in the first round and the first pick in the second round (thirteenth overall).

Welcome to Chicago…

This could be fun. Go Sky!
