Nate and his buddy Mason got together for a Nerf war today. And they dragged in a few other neighborhood kids, one of whom has never owned a Nerf gun in her life. So Nate gave her one to keep.
I remember the heyday of prime time television viewing for Katie and me. Back when we watched like 20+ hours of TV shows each week. Back when we had to give up shows to make room for others. Back when we set our VCRs each morning before work for multiple shows that night.
C2E2 was today and it was, well, less than great.
Nate and I are bummed. For a couple weeks now, our local theater has been advertising that they would be hosting a Flashback Cinema presentation of the original Halloween.

Every once in a while, you have to recharge your creative batteries and step away from the serious effects-laden photos and do something simple… and cute… and fun.

11 months and still no soda! I’m really proud of myself even if it hasn’t done anything to affect my weight.
Here is a photo (or two) of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man going through some post editing.
A friend at work who is a fellow horror film buff introduced me to a podcast called This May Hurt a Bit (Apple | Spotify | YouTube). The two hosts, James Strayer and John C Meyers, review horror franchises one movie per episode.
This coming Saturday marks our triumphant return to C2E2! Well, it will be more like our 2022 trip than our 2023 one.

When I was a teenager, I loved SCUBA diving. I went twice and was, at the time, sold on the idea of being a marine biologist.
I did something today that I have not done since 2008 or 09 when i listened to her album Fearless…
It’s done! The classic book puzzle is complete!

Not that this is anything new, but, once in a while you’re reminded how messed up this world truly is.

Katie and I did something we never expected we would do… ever. We watched a pro sports draft event. Not just that, we watched it live. And it was for women’s basketball.
Nathan’s buddy came over after school today to hang out. About an hour into their time, Nate came down to make a bag of microwave popcorn because they decided to watch a movie.
Gotta admit this week’s SNL was pretty decent. Honestly, any episode with Ryan Gosling is gold, but this one…
While my step count goal is gonna look like 💩 at my end-of-the-month check in, that will be offset by one great thing… so far this month, I’ve been to the gym every weekday morning.
Yup, we’ve started another one. Actually, this may be a case of us having restarted a puzzle as Katie is pretty sure we’ve already done this and, the more I build onto it, the more I’m agreeing with her.

We did another plant exchange at work. First one since the middle of last year. Mine arrived yesterday!
Okay, so this is a few days late, but it cracks me up to no end.
Admittedly, many birds are majestic the way they seemingly float on the air, the speed and control they achieve when swooping in for the kill, and just how beautiful they can be.
Much as I expected, the 2024 solar eclipse came and went with a whimper, to be honest. It just… was.

Like I said, I was totally into the whole Caitlin Clark phenomenon at the NCAA women’s basketball tournament and tonight was the final game between her and her Iowa Hawkeyes against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

I am so confused about this solar eclipse that’s happening on Monday. People are going nuts about it. They’re taking off work. Traveling to places where their view will be better. Pulling their kids out of school.
Snippets? Me? I haven’t done one of these since December 2022 and I know I’m gonna regret doing this instead of splitting it up into multiple posts to cover my lazy butt down the line. But let’s see how it goes anyway, shall we?

FINALLY!! A high-quality figure of Hammerhead (currently known as Momaw Nadon) from the original Star Wars (currently known as Episode IV - A New Hope)!

Well, it certainly wasn’t a lack of desire to build that thwarted us with that Stranger Things puzzle.

Y’all know the comedy and the tragedy, right? The two masks with faces representing the two primary genres of literature?

It’s April! Remember the old days when all us bloggers pulled April Fool’s prank posts on each other and people actually read and fell for them? Those were the good ol’ days.
