Libroqueue 2024.06…
Between not being able to truly commit to a book this month and going on vacation with no desire to read anything at all, I was cutting things pretty close in the end. But here’s how my reading went…
In May, I planned to read:
- Kevin J. Anderson’s (editor) Star Wars: Tales of the Bounty Hunters
- J. Michael Straczynski’s Superman: Earth One, vol. 1
- J. Michael Straczynski’s Superman: Earth One, vol. 2
- Ray Harryhausen presents Flying Saucers vs. The Earth
- George R.R. Martin and Ben Avery’s The Mystery Knight
But I actually read:
- J. Michael Straczynski’s Superman: Earth One, vol. 1
- J. Michael Straczynski’s Superman: Earth One, vol. 2
- Ray Harryhausen presents Flying Saucers vs. The Earth
- Ali Hazelwood’s Bride
- Joshua Williamson’s Nailbiter, vol. 2
I only covered three of my planned five, but replaced with two others. The reason for swapping out the one book and a graphic novel was because Bride and Nailbiter came in from the library and I had limited time to finish them. I am still reading Bounty Hunters and am about 65% of the way through. That said, I’ve also started two other books with varying degrees of success. I don’t know why I can’t focus on books right now. Maybe some day.
My goal for June includes:
- Kevin J. Anderson’s (editor) Star Wars: Tales of the Bounty Hunters
- Pierre Boulle’s Planet of the Apes
- Desiree S. Evans’s (editor) The Black Girl Survives This One
- George R.R. Martin and Ben Avery’s The Mystery Knight
- Geoff John’s Junkyard Joe
Yes, I’m back on the audiobook kick. Got a bit burned out on that podcast I was checking out. Needed something different. Let’s see how this pans out.
