Libroqueue 2024.08…
Much like the U.S. Presidential campaign cycle, I did a lot of flexing around unexpected changes with my reading goals this past month.
In July, I planned to read:
- Michael Harriot’s Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed Story of America
- Tori Bovalino’s The Gathering Dark
- Gabriel Bá, Becky Cloonan, Vasilis Lolo, and Fábio Moon’s Pixu: The Mark of Evil
- Ian Rankin’s Dark Entries: A John Constantine Novel
- Emilia Clarke, Marguerite Bennett, and Leila Leiz’s MOM: Mother of Madness, vol. 1
And I actually read:
- Michael Harriot’s Black AF History
- Yoss’ Red Dust
- Joshua Williamson’s Nailbiter, vol. 3: Blood in the Water
- Joshua Williamson’s Nailbiter, vol. 4: Blood Lust
- W. Maxwell Prince’s Ice Cream Man, vol. 1: Rainbow Sprinkles
- Markisan Naso’s Voracious, vol. 1: Diners, Dinosaurs & Dives
I read zero of my planned graphic novels because a bunch I requested from the library all came in at once, so I read those. Actually, I’m still reading through them. I also did not read The Gathering Dark because I had zero motivation to start an audiobook this month.
That said, my goal for August will be:
- Caroline Kepnes’ You (image below)
- Peter Brown’s The Wild Robot
- Joshua Williamson’s Nailbiter, vol. 5: Bound by Blood
- Joshua Williamson’s Nailbiter, vol. 6: Bloody Truth
- W. Maxwell Prince’s Ice Cream Man, vol. 2: Sundae Edition
Let’s get ‘er done!
