Deleted…

Nate has been freaking out a little the last couple weeks because he hasn’t yet received his school yearbook. It wouldn’t be a big deal if he wasn’t moving on to middle school next year so he thought he might never see it.

I digress.

So I called his school today to find out what’s up. They got yearbooks in last week. But they didn’t email the graduating students or parents because, per district policy, all school mailing lists were purged of graduating students and their parents about mid-summer.

That makes zero sense given that they knew they’d have to send a note about at least one more thing before they’d never have to do it again. You’d think an exception could’ve been made or a separate (temporary) list created.

But no. We were simply deleted and left to figure things out on our own.

Aye yi yi.
