Libroqueue 2024.11…
Happy Halloween! My treat to myself is no trick… my annual reading goal is DONE!
In October, I planned to read:
- Stephen Graham Jones’ I Was a Teenage Slasher
- Ira Levin’s Rosemary’s Baby
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 4
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 5
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 6
And I finished reading:
- Ira Levin’s Rosemary’s Baby
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 4
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 5
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 6
- James Tynion IV’s Something is Killing the Children, vol. 7
I tried Slasher and made it about 150 pages in before losing interest. I like horror but not all authors appeal to me and this is my third attempt at SGJ, with a tally of one finished and two DNFs. The one I did finish I didn’t even think was worthy of the hype it received.
This past month, I also started Naomi Alderman’s The Future and while I was enjoying one of the storylines, I didn’t much care for the rest. When I realized how little I was retaining overall, I stopped. Life’s too short to not enjoy what you read.
My goal for November will be:
- Keith R.A. DeCandido’s Alien: Isolation
- Hunter Blain’s I’m Glad You’re Dead
- Darwyn Cooke’s Catwoman: Selina’s Big Score
- Christian Ward’s Batman: City of Madness, books 1-3
- Jason Aaron’s Star Wars: Last Flight of the Harbinger
What are you reading this coming month?
Here’s a Halloween gift for you all…
