Libroqueue 2025.01…

December is done. So is 2024. In an hour, anyway. We’re now a quarter of the way through the 21st century. Did that last factoid mess with your head as well?

In December, I planned to read:

  • Aiden Thomas’ Cemetery Boys
  • Abraham Chang’s 888 Love and the Divine Burden of Numbers
  • Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower
  • Multiple authors’ Creepshow, vol. 1
  • Darwyn Cooke’s Catwoman: Trail of the Catwoman

And I ended up reading:

  • Amy Tintera’s Listen for the Lie
  • Abraham Chang’s 888 Love and the Divine Burden of Numbers
  • Multiple authors’ Creepshow, vol. 1
  • Riley Sager’s Middle of the Night
  • G. Willow Wilson’s Wonder Woman, vol. 2: Love is a Battlefield

Despite starting strong, I kinda lost momentum halfway through the month. I still hit my five books, but it was a struggle with the holidays. That and there were three books I planned to read and started but didn’t finish. I replaced them with others, though.

My goal for January, taking into account that I’m adding one book monthly to my annual goal, will include:

  • Clay McLeod Chapman’s Wake Up and Open Your Eyes
  • Alex Ebenstein’s Melon Head Mayhem (Killer VHS Series, book 1)
  • Mai Mochizuki’s The Full Moon Coffee Shop
  • Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower
  • Geoff John’s Geiger, vol. 1
  • Kieron Gillen’s Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, vol. 2 - Doctor Aphra and the Enormous Profit

Can I keep it going in 2025? Oh! And Happy New Year in about an hour. My time.

Much like last year, I’m going to combine my final goal recap of 2024 with my list of goals for 2025. I will start with the latter. So for 2025, I shall: Music Play - listen to three new-to-me bands...
