Dec ‘24
Much like last year, I’m going to combine my final goal recap of 2024 with my list of goals for 2025. I will start with the latter.
So for 2025, I shall:
Music Play - listen to three new-to-me bands each month.
Camera Play - keep daily posting my toy photography on Instagram.
Word Play - read 72 books, up from 60 in 2024, or six books a month, in 2025. This one scares me.
Rings Play - close all three rings on my Apple Watch at least half the days of each month. This is renamed from Fitness Play.
Blog Play - keep blogging 80% of the days of the year.
Purge Play - get rid of unnecessary stuff by any means necessary.
Update Play - recap my progress toward my monthly goals.
And now, let’s recap December 2024!
Music Play
While I’ve technically listened to the Broadway soundtrack to Wicked like nearly 20 years ago, I’m counting the film soundtrack as a new entity. New artists, some changes to the lyrics, etc.
Mac Miller
Variety of songs and albums
Rammstein
Variety of songs and albums
Various artists
Wicked soundtrack
Camera Play
Check them out on Instagram.
Word Play
I read five books in December. Not all five I planned, but five all the same. And I finished 75 books total on the year.
Fitness Play
I actually did decently well in the first week of December before the weather went to crap and the holidays struck. The final three weeks just look totally uninspired, save for the 30th, and I’m feeling it. I really need to go back to the gym.
Blog Play
Another full month! Woo!
Purge Play
Absolutely nothing eliminated, per se, this month and it’s the month we really needed to get rid of stuff. I did, however, go through the top shelf of my closet and added about 20-30 articles of clothing I’d been keeping for some weird reason despite not wearing them to our donate pile. Weird, right? But I actually need to get rid of them.
Update Play
This is it!
What are your 2025 goals? Besides the obvious “survive.”
When the cold weather hits, it's hard to keep up on the ring closing.

Even with a gym membership because you don’t want to venture out in the cold even if you get to go back into warmer temps.

I do have a small gym here on site at the apartment complex that I live at, which I have used a few times so far this winter for short treadmill walks. Just need to get in longer walks. And visit more often.

That’s handy.
