FTR, Katie wanted KC to win, I wanted Philly, and Nate just wanted to not pay attention to any of it. 

Among the things heard in our household as we watched the game were…

“Do you want me to buy you a Chiefs’ Jersey??” (Katie threatening to buy me the referee jersey making the rounds on Instagram Reels)

“Are we sure the Chiefs are actually in New Orleans?” (Nate)

“If those are a sampling of his hits, then, no, I’ve never heard a Kendrick Lamar track in my life.” (Me)

“I don’t think Travis is proposing to Taylor after this game.” (Nate)

“Has any team ever not scored in a Super Bowl?” (Me before firing up Google)

“That was so bad I went upstairs and changed the sheets on our bed.” (Me)

“Well, that was brutal.” (Katie when it was all over)

At least now we can stop talking about a Chiefs threepeat.
