The first thing you must understand is that Katie is glued to her Amazon Fire reader what seems like 24/7/365. She has to be when she has a reading goal of 175 books this year.

By way of comparison, my reading goal is a mere 72 books, which is higher than I’ve ever set it before.

Anyway, tonight I feel accomplished in that I found the one thing that effectively distracted her from her reader… Chicago Cubs baseball!

We watched the entire Cubs-Dodgers game tonight that just ended a few minutes ago with the Cubs winning 4-2 to take 2 of 3 games in this series.

Go Cubs!
