When one of my coworkers complained on Slack that Spotify was down and he didn’t know what to do with himself, I knew today was gonna be interesting.

So I jumped on DownDetector — sorry, it’s Speedtest now since they bought DD and made it an inferior product — and checked and, sho’ ‘nuff, Spotify was redlining. As was Apple Music.

If I didn’t check further down to see that it was yellow lining, I’d blame Amazon Music for conspiring to dominate the streaming marketplace for a day.

Now I think I’ll just posit that musicians conspired with hackers to bring them all down to force a renegotiation of their earning percentages. That would be the way to do it.
