BTTF40

My son knows how to have fun.

This past Christmas, as his big gift, we gave him the massive LEGO DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future.

He refused to build it. Why? Because he loves those movies and knew the 40th anniversary of the release of the original film was coming up on July 3, 2025.

So he waited. And he drooled over the unopened set. And he waited some more. And we busted out a mop as he drooled even more.

His day was yesterday. His plan was to watch the entire trilogy end to end while building the set.

He did exactly that. And, eerily, he finished right as the third film ended.

Funny how that works out.

Oh yeah, and happy birthday, USA. Please may you survive to celebrate another year.

I love that about Nate and how he planned to build the set.

BTTF at 40. So happy the movie has a new fan in Nate.

Suzanne

What are the dimensions of that?

Oh he’s a junkie. But he’s also discerning enough that he knows the second one is bad. He’ll still watch it for continuity’s sake but the original is his preference followed by the third.

Approximately 4.7” high, 7.5” wide, and 14” long

That's so cool. I actually saw a Delorean in real life in Phoenix the other day but I was driving so couldn't stop to take a pic of it.

A house down the street from us used to have a DeLorean in the garage. Loved driving by when his garage was open so I could see it. But he moved out years ago. I miss it.
