There may have been a tie with #minimusicmonday last week. It might have been Steve B or it could have been Marty M. I’m declaring BOTH!
So I didn't exactly start #minimusicmonday on a high note (heh heh). As it turns out, the art I presented last week as a challenge photo has been used on two albums. As a result of this mistake, I'm giving credit to two people for guessing it "correctly."
When I started #MiniMusicMonday last year, not only did I never fathom it would make it to year two, I never even thought I’d make it half a year. But this is fun! So here goes 2020!
THE LAST #MINIMUSICMONDAY OF 2019!!! Don’t worry, it’s coming back next year. I’m having too much fun with this. The penultimate challenge photo was guessed correctly by Marty Mankins, for the record.
A big congrats to Kevin Spencer who nailed it on last week’s #MiniMusicMonday!
Many, many people posited many, many guesses and many, many of them were correct. Actually, they were all correct. Lots of people knew this challenge photo. In all fairness, it's a pretty damn fine album.
I was pretty impressed that my old friend Harley nailed last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. It was, indeed, Collective Soul.
My Pitchfork buddy, Eric, was Johnny on the Spot with last week’s #MiniMusicMonday.
Last week’s rocker was very easily and quickly guessed by Eve (@empresseve on IG). Yup, Ozzy!
Sadly, nobody cobbled together the correct answer to last week’s Challenge Photo for #MiniMusicMonday. It’s one of my all-time favorites as well.
Despite my concerns over the possibility that the cassette I owned was an alternate cover, it was still correctly guessed, and quickly at that. Again, by Steve B.
Steve B. is kinda rockin’ it lately with the correct #MiniMusicMonday. And he’s back again with this past week’s response.
My friend, Eric P (because I apparently have a lot of friends named Eric who need to be distinguished by a surname initial) got it with a partial guess on FB that demonstrated enough knowledge that I’m giving it to him.
Man! Kevin Spencer nailed it with his guess on last week’s #MiniMusicMonday! Nine inches worth of nailing, in fact. And didn’t I tell you yesterday’s post would make my choice of subject make that much more sense?
Congrats to my friend Amanda on correctly guessing last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo.
Let’s return #MiniMusicMonday to it’s Monday glory, shall we?
Macro Monday on a... WEDNESDAY?!?! What kind of madness is this?? Well, phone and all. It's finally been resolved, though, so there's that.
I really thought last week’s #MiniMusicMonday was gonna be a cinch. No one got it. Nadie.
Lots of people got last week's #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. I like when that happens. But the winners (again... because I cannot get an exact timestamp from Facebook or Instagram) were Eric on FB and Matt on IG.
After years of goofy guesses on Macro Monday and #minimusicmonday, my buddy Steve swooped in with the correct answer to last week’s challenge.
Hey, happy Labor Day if you’re in the U.S. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much labor input into last week’s #MiniMusicMonday.
As I expected, no one got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. Admittedly, it was a comparatively unknown band and album. I was more curious if anyone would, so I’m not terribly disappointed.
My buddy, Kevin Spencer, was Johnny on the Spot with the correct answer to last week’s #minimusicmonday.
I really was worried that no one was going to take a stab at last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. But, at the 11th hour, my buddy Eric chimed in with the correct answer.
I'm so sad that nobody guessed last week's challenge photo on #MiniMusicMonday. I don't mean "nobody guessed correctly," nobody guessed at all. I really thought this one would be too easy.
I hate when two people guess correctly within short order on #MiniMusicMonday and on two different social media networks. Why? Because good timestamps are practically non-existent without paying for the use of third-party software to manage it all. And, this is not something where I'm making money or giving out real prizes so I'm not paying for the software.
Stephen’s streak o’ macrodomination has come to an end with Katie’s cousin Stacey nailing it.
Funny thing. Last week, I suffixed my post title with “2017.28.” I have no idea what was going through my head.
Man, my buddy Stephen now has his own little streak going after guessing last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo correctly.
We are officially halfway through the #MiniMusicMonday year! Wow! I'm glad y'all seem to be enjoying this. I know I am. So much more than struggling to find something to take a macro photo of each week. I guess this technically is, too, but at least it's on a theme and I can run with that.
Once again, Reuben came thru in a pinch and correctly identified last week’s #MiniMusicMonday.
Lots of people got either last week’s artist or the album title. But the first to posit both was Kevin Spencer. And I knew he’d get it because he and I have discussed this album much in the past.
I really kinda knew that last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo would not likely be guessed correctly.
Katie's cousin Stacey was Johnny on the spot with the answer to last week's #MiniMusicMonday.
I really thought last week’s #MiniMusicMonday was a gimme, especially given the lyrical clues I threw your way. Still, no one got it.
