You know how I’ve said that the more participation I get in one of my macro posts, the more excited I am? After this past week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday, I’m practically bouncing off the walls.
After about a day, during which time I started to lose hope anyone would guess it, I got two correct answers. The first, though, was my sister-in-law.
My buddy, Matt, nailed what I thought would be a much easier #MiniMoviePosterMonday... Toy Story 4.
Yay! Back to challenge photos that elicit a lot of both correct guesses and fun incorrect ones! I like those the best. Well our cousin Stacy was first.
I really hoped it would be longer into the run of #MiniMoviePosterMonday challenge photos that I stumped y’all. Eight weeks and all were successfully guessed! Can’t go on forever, I suppose.
My Sister-in-Law Jen was first to nail last week’s challenge photo with one of the greatest movies ever made... Tombstone!
It may be blasphemy to say, but I’d argue that the trilogy represented by last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday challenge photo is one of if not the best trilogies of films ever. Congrats to my old buddy Eric on the win.
Sorry this is late. Have to post date it because I was working late and then just couldn’t focus at all.
Christa took the prize with last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday and Crazy Rich Asians. I really thought the flamingo would be tougher. Guess not.
Several correct answers were sent in for last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday. But only one can be the winner, right? At least when I’m not too lazy to check time stamps, that is. That winner is Christa!
My buddy Reuben was back on top with his stab at last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday challenge photo. ‘Twas Bumblebee!
I was pretty happy to have had as many guesses on last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday as I had. And with a few of the guesses correct, to boot. The winner was Lynne who, I think, was playing for the first time.
Welcome to the 2021 revision of Macro Monday! My plan for this year is to take macro photos of movie covers/posters and post those for everyone to guess.
While I’m really disappointed that nobody got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo, I’m heartened to know that I’ve actually come up with a photo post idea to tide me through 2021.
I know I’m gonna miss having a pre-planned blog post ready to go every week. But, right now, I’m soooo happy I won’t ever have to type “#minimusicmonday” again. I never get it right the first time. And autocorrect hates it fiercely.
Wow! Numero 50. I'm in the home stretch and I'd like to go out with some #minimusicmonday album art challenge photos that should be relatively easy to get. But first a recap of last week...
I’m really upset that nobody achieved Sainthood with last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. It was, after all, the soundtrack from the Val Kilmer/Elisabeth Shue classic remake The Saint.
Steve and Christa both got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday, one on Facebook and one on Instagram. The catch? I dunno which got it first.
Nobody actually got last week's #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. But one guy got close... twice! Same guy.
I’m really struggling right now to come up with a photography idea for 2021. I don’t want to do more macro cassette covers. I’m not sure I want to do regular macro photos. I failed miserably when I tried to do short stories based on a photo.
Ah, the rare correct guess proffered up on Twitter by Tobi (@thebitster) with the late, great Robin Williams. Oh, and after re-reading what I just said in the first sentence, "rare correct guess" is a reference to guesses on Twitter, not guesses by Tobi. I swear. Practically nobody guesses on Twitter. I think I've gotten one other correct guess out of, at most, a handful of people trying to guess there. Not sure why it's not a popular outlet for guessing Macro Monday. Weird.
Not only did Marty nail this #minimusicmonday, but he taught me something. He taught me that this Sammy Hagar album, which I always thought was self-titled, has a title. And it came after the fact due to an MTV promotion. Very interesting.
I suppose I thought my challenge photo last week was too obvious. But it wasn’t. Not at all. In fact, the only person to guess it had to be coerced to post the answer because she felt guilty for googling the lyrical clue.
Marty came up big last week with Collective Soul’s Hints, Allegations and Things Left Unsaid.
Longtime friend and first-time correct guesser LeSombre, the fluffy pancake fiend, correctly guessed last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. Rejoice!
For the second time, my old HS friend, Stacey (@anyankgoldilocks on IG) nailed the #minimusicmonday challenge photo with Janet Jackson from the album janet.
Exactly the person I expected to get last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo was the one who got it. @EmpressEve with KISS Rock and Roll Over. You’d almost swear I was gearing that one just for her.
Sooooo close! I had correct guesses in three out of four post locations for last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. Twitter... check. Instagram... check. Blog... check. Facebook... nope. D’oh! Facebook, always crushing dreams.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised — and yet I am — that no one got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. Oh well.
As I expected, no one got the album title from last week's #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. Like I said, it wasn't a studio album so no expectations.
My old high school friend Stacey nailed last week’s #MiniMusicMonday with Meat Puppets.
It may have taken a little poking and prodding, but, eventually someone got last week's #MiniMusicMonday. It was Ace Frehley, he of KISS fame, on one of his solo albums.
As I had hoped, last week’s #MiniMusicMonday was guessed by Bill C, the guy who gave me the tape in question. Woo!
A ton of people got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. I shouldn’t be surprised. As one person said on Facebook, the earring was a dead giveaway.
Uh oh, another #MiniMusicMonday with no guesses. Not even wrong ones. Not even jokey ones (what gives, Steve??). And the person who gave me this tape clearly didn't get it either. I am so sad.
