Targeted…
I can’t tell if I’m more impressed that politicians and their PACs have decided to target voters based on what they like or scared that they do this and I may have to hide what I love as a result.

Dear Mr. Gates,
I was recently made aware of your decision to actively seek to fall off the World's Richest People list and I'd like to take this opportunity to offer my services to that end.
And just like that... the U.S. Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade.

A longtime resort fixture in the next town north, Pheasant Run, of us caught on fire today. Nobody knows the cause but it was pretty huge.

Martin Shkreli, the pharmaceutical price-gouging douchebag, has been freed from Federal prison early, thus furthering the knowledge that the wealthy can get anything. Lord knows, his douchiness wasn't tempered at all by his time in the slammer. One of the first things he did was post a selfie to Facebook with the caption, "Getting out of real prison is easier than getting out of Twitter prison." Dick.

Perspective is a funny thing sometimes. Funny in how it can be used to make a point. Funny how aspects can be left out to make a different point.
Sometimes life makes no sense.
Growing up, I loved nearly every movie Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in. He could do no wrong.
I gotta admit that I’m kinda in love with my new Fitbit watch face.
Well, that sucked.

So the U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a bill to make Daylight Savings Time (DST) the de facto time in the United States.
To the overly vocal minority, a big piss off.

I’m not sure if any of you are familiar with Penzey’s Spices but they are a spice maker and distributor out of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and have a store near where I used to work a couple jobs ago.
I’ve been taking some time to process all that is being reported about the Chicago Blackhawks covering up a sexual assault of a rookie player by a video coach back during the 2010 Stanley Cup championship run. Heck, just writing this post has taken me four or five days.
I love getting alerts like these… in the middle of my day… interrupting more important shit.
This screen grab was shared by a coworker of mine from the Forbes Influential CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) list of the year. I'm just gonna leave this out there for you...

After catching my nearly 100th viewing of Hidden Figures last night on TV (that's a movie I can watch from any point at any time in any mood and love it), I had a hankering to listen to some tunes today from Ms. Janelle Monáe (Mary Jackson in Hidden Figures). I've always loved her music and knew her as a musician for many years before she made her first foray into acting.
It's been 20 years since the terrorist attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania. Acts so deplorable that they should have steeled our resolve, brought us together, united us as one nation.

Man, Mother Nature did not want to cut us a break these last three days.
Anthony Rizzo has been traded from the Cubs to the Yankees? I know the Cubs have been talking about the need for a shake up lately but dayamn!
Oh phew! Just when I thought I missed taking Nathan the 7-Eleven today for 7/11 and free Slurpees, I found out that, for the second consecutive year, there was no event held.

For years -- heck, decades -- Hollywood has sought to reboot the venerated Fletch film franchise that starred Chevy Chase in what I maintain was his best role ever. He was perfectly cast as investigative reporter Irwin M. "Fletch" Fletcher. You'd swear author Gregory MacDonald wrote the books with Chase in mind.

I got a pop-up on my phone about an hour ago of a like on an Instagram photo I took from a name I didn't recognize. About 15 minutes ago, I received another notification of a comment on a photo from another name I didn't recognize. Both were attached to the same image in my account.

And how do we celebrate Father’s Day? Hunkered down in our lower level bathroom hiding from a tornado warning caused by a storm hitting us now that may or may not have produced a twister one town south of us and rotation due west of us that is heading east.

The news came down the pipeline today that the victim of a recent cyberattack paid more than US$10M to liberate their computer network from the ransomware attack they experienced last week.

Y’know what? I don’t care what the CDC says, I’m still wearing a mask in public for the foreseeable future. I know Katie and Nathan agree as well.
Hey, I've got a couple questions for you all that I'm seeking insight on. While they are parenting related, it's kinda tangential and, honestly, they can be answered by anyone. So take a look and leave a reply in the comments.

While I don't shop at 7-Eleven all that often, I do have their app and I receive emails from being part of their "members club." Why? Because Nathan and I would occasionally go for walks or bike rides during the summer when we needed a break and go there for a Slurpee.
For a while, I used the Apple News app on my iPhone to get my daily news fix.
Yeah, so I went ahead and created my own contribution to the #BernieMittensMeme. What of it??
