About four years ago, I was penciling little sketches and posting them here with haiku accompaniment.
To enrich his sound,
Star got a Seahorse and sax.
A drummer is next.
Once, a lone sea star
Picked up a Gibson guitar.
And rocked. How he rocked.
When I was five years old, my parents moved us from New York to Lexington, Kentucky. On one of my first days there, a kid down the street came up to meet me. His name was Steve and, for the next five years, we became nearly inseparable.
Steve was a ridiculously talented illustrator for a five year old. He could draw up a storm and I was in awe. I did everything I could to try to be like him and fashioned myself into a bit of drawing fool.
