How about a few quick Snippets this fine Wednesday?

Right on the heels (more like two weeks later) of a Star Wars-themed Snippet Wednesday, here's one with more than just a little bit of a TV lean. Coolness?

After the downer that was yesterday's post, how about something a little lighter? Lightly Snippety, in fact.

I know I tend to theme some of my Snippet Wednesday snippets. Sometimes very loosely. But I try. This time, the theme is pretty obvious. And, heck, I can even tie it back to the title of this post in terms of the initials.

Figure it out yet?

I find it funny that I had nothing for a Snippet Wednesday yesterday until, of course, I wrote a regular, single-topic post. Then the ideas came flowing. Go fig, eh?

To make up for it, and to not lose out on those ideas, I present you with Snippet Thursday: The Reckoning!

I almost didn't write this Snippet Wednesday. You ever have post ideas ready to go but just no desire to write it up? That was me today. Alas, I'm far too wedded to this virtual space to not do it and it would be an awful waste of ideas. So enjoy!

Hey there! Thank you for taking these next few minutes to peruse through this parade of nonsense I lovingly call Snippet Wednesday. I hope you enjoy.

First off, a big ol' Happy Birthday to the World Wide Web! It's 25 years old. Well, in concept it's 25 years old. In actual execution, the Web didn't hit us all until really about 1993 or 1994. But still. On this day in 1989, Tim Berners-Lee came up with the idea of the World Wide Web and shared it with his boss who authorized him working on it as a side project from his regular job. Cool stuff!

Without it, you'd not be reading this Snippet Wednesday. And Lord only knows what I'd be doing as my career. And hobby.

Is it strange that once I took the pressure off myself by not numbering my Snippet Wednesday posts, it has actually become easier -- at least so far -- to write them consistently? Heck, I've done a Snippet Wednesday every week save for the very first Wednesday of the year, which happened to be New Year's Day.

It is currently 39 degrees out (that's in Fahrenheit) and snow is starting to melt away slowly but, hopefully, surely. Katie reported seeing grass. Sure, it was brown and muddy, but it was grass.

The year is quickly winding down if the date on this post and the numbering of this edition of Snippet Wednesday is any indication. Wow! Where did it go? 2014 will mark Nathan's third calendar year of life on this planet. What the what?

It's kind of a scummy day today. Started off just dreary but then the rain and the dark kicked in. Combine this with the fact that it's just generally getting darker every day now and, man, I don't wanna be a part of it. Time to go south of the equator, baby! At least there I can give you all a sunshiny Snippet Wednesday!

I was rally having difficulty coming up with good Snippets this week as the news is inundated with the U.S. Government shutdown, as it should be. But I really don't want to talk about it. I'll leave that to the self-proclaimed political pundits on Facebook.

It has been one heckuva weird day. I wish I could go into details, but it's work related and I tend to shy away from work blogging, as you know, unless it's pretty mundane things like non-work discussion with coworkers. Those are about as close to "work" blogging as I get.
