Vacations & Holidays 2010-14

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Do the world a favor and give a hug to someone you might not otherwise hug. Show love and peace and understanding and hopefully you will receive it back. For just one day, let's all try to get along and show thanks. Please?

Katie (Mommy),

You are the most amazing woman in the world and we cannot imagine our lives without you. Thank you for everything you do for us every day.

We love you so much,

Your boys

And a very happy Mother's Day to my mom, Katie's mom, and my Nano. We love you all.

Sick day...

I'm at home with a sick little kid today.

We're not sure if it's a legitimate fever or a side effect of teething. Either way, he was sporting a 101 fever and was whining uncontrollably at random intervals throughout the night. He did not want to be let go at all. But when we held him, he would squirm to the point where you almost had to let him go.

Happy Mother's Day...

To my mom and my grandmas and to Katie's mom and grandmas, we would both like you all to know how important you are to us and how much we love you. Beyond words. I wish there was a better way to say it, but there isn't. Just know we love and appreciate you ridiculously.

I also want to wish a very happy first Mother's Day to Katie from both Nathan and me. We love you so much, hon, and could not do this without you.

April Fool's Day...

I'm terrible at April Fool's Day pranks on my blog. I tried it once and I felt so bad after pulling the prank that I decided never to do them again.

Last year, my plan was to announce that Katie was pregnant on April Fool's Day and see who, if anyone, actually bought it. Just as I was about to pull the trigger, Katie and I decided we weren't quite ready to announce and it would've been in pretty bad taste anyway. I'm noticing this as I read all kinds of fake pregnancy announcements all over Twitter and Facebook today.

The waiting is the hardest part...

I love it.

We just got home from our third family Christmas celebration. Our fourth, and thankfully final, is tomorrow. Katie is reading The Polar Express to Nathan for the 24th time this month. When he's down, we're going to watch what has become our annual Christmas movie, Love Actually.

And then we're going to bed.

Tomorrow we will wake up to spend our first Christmas as parents.

I seriously cannot wait.
